How do I train my child in potty training?
Most children start around 18 months to two years. Girls are often in front of the boys.
How do I know my child is ready for potty training?
- The child goes off for privacy when filling nappy
- The child use a familial term for it i.e. poo
- The child has a clean nappy for long amounts of time.
- Physical readiness – can the child pull their own nappy down?
- Is your child showing a willingess to potty train!
It is important you keep using the potty. If the child is struggling to get the hang of it, then take a month off and retry. You need to prepare for some accidents! It will take the child a while to get it right.
