Three day fever (roseola infantum)
Also referred to as Roseola infantum, exanthematous fever – the child is probably contagious even before the onset of the fever.
It affects children from 6 months to 3 years.
Symptoms of Three day Fever
A fever that comes on very quick.
A rash that appears after about three days. Temperature will drop suddenly as well. It usually first appears on the body then spreads to the arms and legs.
Treatment for Three day Fever
Keep the child cold and give appropriate fever reducing medicine (capol)
Incubation period
Around two to three days.
Infectious period
Infectious when blisters and spots are present.
